Dan works with clients mostly online via video conferencing and/or phone out of his Boulder, CO office. This works well for people who may have difficulty attending in-person sessions. Dan travels back to Minneapolis periodically so there are opportunities to meet with him face-to-face if so desired.

Dan specializes in helping people with a holistic approach to mental well-being. Everyone brings a story that is unique to them. By working collaboratively with Dan in the four dimensions of the human experience (physical, emotional, mental, and meaningful), you can increase awareness and live your best life as defined by you. As part of his psychotherapy practice, Dan has a special interest in addiction recovery. He defines recovery as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.

Dan believes…

  • We are infinitely complex beings who have a psychological need to bond, feel understood, and experience a sense of belonging.
  • There is no one-size-fits-all-approach and traditional methods of therapy may not be best for everyone. Overall well-being requires more than a label or a specific diagnosis.
  • Our past has influence but does not determine the future.
  • We have the inherent dignity, wisdom, and power to heal.

What to expect: A non-pressured environment to explore where you are, what has happened, and what’s getting in the way of living your most fulfilling life. Dan does not impose solutions. That said, he doesn’t shy away from offering feedback.
